Infrastructure
Slovenia has several large highways.
One is going from the northeast to the southwest to Koper and
the other is going from the northwest, from the Karavanke tunnel,
into the direction of Zagreb. In the last decenia, the slovenes
made a new highways and with this they destroyed and fragmented
the habitat of several large carnivores like the bears. On the
other hand, the bridges are nesting places for craig martins.
Another problem is that many dust
roads are nowadays paved with asfalt. As a consequence that these
are used more frequent in former more isolated areas. Mostly these
desolate areas are used as a garbage dump.
