Red lists
Due to a high pressure of humans on nature,
the habitat of many species are destroyed or became very
isolated. Therefore many species are declining rapidly and
are on the redlist. There are two redlists which are taking
species into account occurring in Slovenia: the IUCN redlist
and the national redlist
The IUCN
redlist covers species, which are decreasing rapidly
or are nearly extinct.
The national redlist takes
species into account, which are endangered on a national
level although they can be still common in other countries.
